When it comes to healthy skin and hair, it’s not just what we put on our body that counts, its what we put in it.
Radiant skin and hair growth are both dependent on the nutrients we eat. The healthier we eat the stronger we will be inside and out.
The best way to get these nutrients is not by supplements but by the real thing. Eat these things and you should see an improvement in both your hair and skin.
-Low fat yogurt is full of vitamin A and has more calcium than a cup of fat-free milk.
-Blueberries, Strawberries, and Raspberries are full of antioxidants, the more you eat them the more youthful and healthy your skin will be looking
-Salmon is filled with essential fatty acids that the skin needs. It’ll give you all the Omega 3 and Omega 6 you need to moisturize your skin. Plus it supports scalp health.
-Walnuts and flaxseed are also filled with those essential fatty acids so if salmon isn’t your cup of tea, eat some of these.
-Green Tea is one of the best things for your body. It contains polyphenols which have anti-inflammatory characteristics. It can fight off pimples and free radicals that make our skin age early.
-Water is a given. The more we hydrate our skin the better it will look. Try to drink at least 8 glasses a day.
-Avocados are rich in B-complex vitamins and essential oils that sooth the skin from irritation and redness
-Sweet Potatoes contain large amount of beta-carotene that defend the skin from sun exposure
-Dark Chocolate keeps skin hydrated and can protect the skin from sun damage. But keep in mind that the best chocolate for the skin should have at least 60% cacao
